Causes of aging of bulk bags

Feb 06, 2025

For bulk bags with particularly low prices, it is necessary to consider whether recycled materials are used. When the price and labor cost of bulk bags are similar, it depends on whether the materials are new pellets, whether excessive recycled materials are added, and whether modifiers (calcium carbonate masterbatch) are added. The aging resistance of PP woven fabrics with modifiers will be seriously reduced.

The price of masterbatch also varies greatly. Some pigments can play an anti-aging role in bulk bags and have a great impact on the service life of bulk bags. Whether the surface-coated rutile titanium dioxide masterbatch is used, whether the yellow pigment with very good weather resistance is used, whether the blue pigment used contains free copper, etc. will have a great impact on the life of the bulk bag.

The form and amount of anti-purple can play a great role in the aging of bulk bags. Because the powdered UV has a large difference in specific gravity and size from PP particles, it will settle and it is difficult to evenly disperse into the PP pellets. This will cause the drawn flat wires to be very good or very poor, thus affecting the anti-aging performance of the entire woven cloth. However, the anti-ultraviolet masterbatch with a similar size and specific gravity to PP will not have such a problem.

The container bag needs to add UV anti-ultraviolet masterbatch according to the requirements, and the UV content can be selectively added according to the needs of different customers. UV content of masterbatch: The content of anti-ultraviolet masterbatch in each factory may be different, and the quality and price are also very different. If foreign companies only specify the additional amount of anti-ultraviolet masterbatch, then the factory may use low UV content and low price masterbatch, resulting in low UV content in the container bag.
