Characteristics, application and design principles of bulk bags

May 08, 2025

Design principles of bulk bags
The design of bulk bags must strictly follow the national standard GB/T10454-2000. As export packaging, bulk bags must ensure that the exported goods are effectively protected during loading, unloading, transportation and storage, and that the goods are transported to the destination intact. Therefore, the design of bulk bags must meet four major points, namely safety, storage, usability and sealing.

1. Safety
Mainly refers to the strength of the bulk bag. When designing, the packaging volume, the weight of the load and the number of packaging units must be considered. It is also necessary to consider the distance of transportation and the number of times of handling, and what kind of transportation tools and methods to use. In the national standard GB/T10454-2000 for bulk bags, the technical indicators of the base fabric and slings of the bulk bags are strictly stipulated. From a safety perspective, it is clarified that the structure of the bulk bags is all bottom hanging structure. The safety factor must reach 1.8.
2. Storage
Material selection and proportioning should be reasonable according to the user's use conditions. The anti-aging ability of plastic products under sunlight exposure is a relatively concerning issue, and it is also a problem often encountered in the actual use of container bags. Pay attention to the use of anti-purple agents and the selection of materials during the production process.

3. Usability

When designing container bags, the specific ways and methods of using container bags by customers should be fully considered, such as lifting, transportation methods, loading material performance, etc. In addition, it is also necessary to consider whether it is food packaging, and whether it is non-toxic and harmless to the packaged food.

4. Sealing

Different packaging materials have different sealing requirements. For example, powders or toxic items, items that are afraid of contamination, have very strict requirements on sealing performance, and materials that are prone to moisture or mildew also have special requirements for airtightness. Therefore, when designing container bags, pay attention to the influence of the base fabric laminating process and sewing process on sealing.

Plastic container bags, also known as ton bags, are a type of plastic packaging bag with high strength and durability. It is usually used for loading and unloading and transporting large quantities of bulk materials, such as granular, powdered or blocky materials.

The main features of plastic container bags include:
High carrying capacity, can accommodate several tons of heavy objects; strong structure, can withstand operations such as lifting, handling and stacking; good waterproof and moisture-proof properties, can protect the goods inside from moisture; anti-static design, reduce static electricity accumulation, ensures the safety of the loading and unloading process.

In addition, plastic container bags also have the advantages of being light, easy to store and transport. Its application range is wide, covering many fields such as chemicals, building materials, agriculture, and minerals. In these industries, plastic container bags not only improve loading and unloading efficiency, reduce labor costs, but also reduce the loss and pollution of goods.

However, when using plastic container bags, it is necessary to pay attention to choosing reliable quality products to ensure their strength and durability. At the same time, the correct filling and sealing methods are also crucial, which helps to avoid cargo leakage and bag damage.

In general, plastic bulk bags, as an efficient and convenient packaging method, play an important role in modern logistics. With the continuous advancement of technology and the growth of market demand, the performance of plastic bulk bags will continue to improve, providing better protection for the transportation of goods in various industries.
