Container bag circular weaving technology process indicators

Jul 29, 2024

In the production process of container bags, the circular weaving base fabric process indicators are the hard indicators to solve the container bag products. There are six points in total, and the specific indicators are as follows:

1. Weaving density and weaving density tolerance
Weaving density refers to the number of warp and weft yarns in a 100mm×100mm woven fabric. The national standard GB/T8946 for woven bags stipulates the weaving density and density tolerance at the same time. The weaving density mainly depends on the packaging product and is determined by the user. The commonly used woven cloth density is 36×36 roots/10cm, 40×40 roots/10cm, and 48×48 roots/10cm. The density of woven cloth is usually measured in another unit: buckle. If converted to a buckle, it is 12 buckles, 13 buckles, 14 buckles, 16 buckles, etc.

2. Weaving density tolerance
Weaving density tolerance refers to the number of flat wires that are more or less than the given standard weaving density.
3. Woven cloth tensile load.
Tensile load is also called tensile strength. For woven cloth, it is subjected to tensile load in both warp and weft directions, so it is called warp and weft tensile load.
4. Woven cloth unit area mass
The unit area weight of woven cloth is expressed in grams per square meter, which is an important technical indicator of woven cloth. The grams per square meter mainly depend on the warp and weft density and the thickness of the flat wire. The grams per square meter affects the tensile strength and load capacity of the woven cloth. The grams per square meter is a major link for manufacturers to control costs.
5. Width
The width of various woven cloths directly affects the bag-making process. For tube cloth, the width is expressed by a folded warp, which is equal to half of the circumference. Width shrinkage rate, the width of all woven cloths after weaving and winding, after unwinding, cutting, printing, and sewing, the width of the bag is slightly smaller than the width when winding, which we call width shrinkage.
6. Hand feel.
PP flat yarn braids feel thicker, wider, and harder; HDPE flat yarn braids feel softer, smoother, and less dense. Adding calcium masterbatch to PP flat yarn will make it feel wider, and adding less HDPE to PP will make it softer; narrow flat yarns, flat weaving, and softer; wide flat yarns, more folded yarns when weaving, and rough hand feel.
