The hazard of static electricity in ton bags has received considerable attention in the packaging industry, but in the storage and transportation of packaged goods, the harm and prevention of static electricity is still a weak link.
It is easy to generate electrostatic sparks when a high electrostatic potential is formed on the surface of the package.
The hazards of ton bags are mainly manifested in two aspects:
One is the explosion accident. For example, when the contents of the package are flammable substances, their volatilized steam and air reach a certain ratio, or when the solid dust reaches a certain concentration (ie, the explosion limit), it will explode once it encounters static sparks.
The second is the phenomenon of electric shock. For example, electrostatic high-potential discharge is generated during the handling process, which brings the discomfort of electric shock to the operator, which often occurs when the warehouse is handling plastic-packaged goods. In the process of handling and stacking, high electrostatic potential discharge is generated due to strong friction, and even operators are knocked down by electrostatic discharge.
The big bag should control the packaging as far as possible not to generate static electricity. For example, when handling flammable liquids, it is necessary to limit their violent shaking in the packaging barrels, control their loading and unloading methods, prevent the leakage and mixing of different oil products, and prevent water and air in the steel barrels.
