1. General characteristics. Polyethylene resin is a non-toxic, tasteless white powder or particles, its appearance is milky white and has low water absorption. The polyethylene film is transparent and decreases with the increase of crystallinity. The water permeability of polyethylene film is low but the air permeability is large, and it is not suitable for fresh-keeping packaging but for moisture-proof packaging. Flammable, low smoke when burning, a small number of molten drops, yellow flame under blue, paraffin smell. Polyethylene has better water resistance.
2. Mechanical properties. The mechanical properties of polyethylene are general, the tensile strength is low, the creep resistance is not good, and the impact resistance is good. It is mainly affected by density, crystallinity, and relative molecular weight, and its mechanical properties increase with the increase of these indexes.
3. Electrical characteristics. Because polyethylene is non-polar, it has excellent electrical properties with low dielectric loss and high dielectric strength, that is, it can be used as frequency modulation insulation materials, corona-resistant plastics, and high voltage insulation materials.
4. Environmental characteristics. Polyethylene is an alkane-inert polymer with good chemical stability. At room temperature resistant to acid, alkali, salt aqueous corrosion, but not resistant to strong oxidants such as fuming sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid, and chromic acid.
5. Processing characteristics. Due to the good fluidity of LDPE and HDPE, low processing temperature, moderate viscosity, low decomposition temperature, and high temperature in the inert gas does not decompose, so it is a plastic with good processing performance.
Ton bag is convenient for loading bulk powder materials, with large volume, lightweight, easy to load and unload, and so on. The scope of use in China is expanding, and the export of special-purpose bags such as calcium carbide and mineral items is also increasing.
