Using Bulk Bags

Oct 15, 2025

① Loading
First, hang the bulk bag's lifting rings symmetrically on the filling machine's beam, ensuring the bottom of the bag is nearly in contact with the ground. Then, open the bulk bag's loading port, insert it into the loading barrel, and secure it with the clamping device to prevent dust or particles from leaking. Start the filling machine and add the material into the bag through the loading port. Straighten the bag before filling. After filling, close the loading port. If using a bulk bag with a discharge port, check that the bottom is securely tied before filling.

② Loading
Hang the bulk bag's lifting rings evenly on the lifting device. Depending on the type of bulk bag and the load weight, you can use a forklift, crane, or hoist. If using a forklift to lift the bulk bag, adjust the blade to the appropriate position and keep the bag close to the forklift, avoiding tilting forward. To ensure a balanced center of gravity during lifting, never hang the bag by a single ring. Then, activate the lifting device to slowly lift the bulk bag. Once it reaches a certain height, place it evenly on the train (or truck) platform. If loading and transport are not required immediately, the bulk bags should be stacked neatly and evenly at the work site. Avoid squeezing, tilting, or collisions during lifting and stacking.

③ Storage
In principle, bulk bags should be shipped immediately after loading. However, if immediate transportation is not possible due to unforeseen circumstances, the bulk bags should be stored in a warehouse away from sources of water, steam, moisture, and high temperatures to prevent material damage. If stored outdoors, in addition to meeting the above environmental conditions, they should be covered with a tarpaulin and protected from direct sunlight.

④ Unloading
Use a forklift or crane to lift the bulk bag, align it with the opening of a trough or other container, and open the bottom opening tie of the bag. The material will fall out, completing the unloading process. For disposable bulk bags, puncture the bottom of the bag remotely with a suitable tool to facilitate unloading. Do not stand under the bulk bag during lifting and unloading.
