While FIBCs offer many advantages, they also have some limitations in use, mainly in the following aspects:

1. Higher Manufacturing Cost: The manufacturing cost of FIBCs is relatively high, which may increase the overall cost of the product.

2. Limited Uses: Compared to some reusable packaging materials, FIBCs have fewer uses and are difficult to recycle in the long term, which may increase packaging costs and environmental pressure.

3. Non-Degradable: FIBCs are typically made of woven plastic fabrics such as polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE), which are difficult to degrade in the natural environment, putting pressure on the environment.

4. Easily Tear: FIBCs are prone to tearing or damage when loaded with heavy objects, which may affect the safety of the goods. Incorrect handling can also lead to FIBC breakage.

5. Not Suitable for All Materials: FIBCs are not suitable for packaging some high-acid or alkaline liquids, as these liquids will corrode and damage the FIBC material.

6. Lower Safety and Reliability: Compared to metal containers, FIBCs have a relatively lower safety and reliability. Improper use during loading, unloading, and transportation may lead to FIBC rupture, cargo damage, and other safety accidents.

7. Limited Environmental Applications: FIBCs are typically designed for dry, windless, dust-free, and abrasion-free environments. Use in harsh environments may cause FIBCs to rupture or reduce their load-bearing capacity, threatening the safety of the goods.

 

Therefore, the selection and use of FIBCs should be based on specific circumstances and needs to ensure their safety and effectiveness. Environmental protection and sustainable development should also be considered, choosing biodegradable and recyclable packaging materials whenever possible.
