How to use container bags?

Mar 24, 2026

The container bag (also known as a flexible container bag, ton bag, space bag, etc.) is a large flexible packaging container used to ship bulk materials.

The following are the basic methods of using container bags:

  • Inspect the container bag:

Before use, carefully inspect the container bag for damage, stains, signs of aging, or poor sewing.
Ensure that the lifting rings, straps, and other components of the container bag are intact and can withstand the expected weight.

  • Choose appropriate loading equipment:

Select appropriate loading equipment, such as forklifts, lifting equipment, etc., based on the specifications of the container bag and the nature of the materials contained.
Ensure that the loading equipment can load materials into the container bags smoothly and safely.

  • Loading materials:

During the loading process, attention should be paid to controlling the flow and speed of materials to prevent materials from entering the container bag too quickly or too much, causing the container bag to break or deform.
Keep the balance of the container bag when loading to avoid uneven distribution of materials in the bag, which will affect the load-bearing capacity and stability of the container bag.

  • Closed container bag:

When the materials are loaded, the mouth of the container bag must be closed in time to prevent the materials from leaking or scattering.
Apply corresponding closing measures according to the closing method of the container bag (such as sewing, gluing, etc.).

  • Handling and storage:

Use forklifts, lifting equipment, and other tools to transport container bags carefully and smoothly.
Avoid accidents such as collisions and falls during transportation, which may cause damage to the container bag or material leakage.
During storage, container bags should be placed on a dry, ventilated, and flat site to avoid direct sunlight and rain.

  • Unloading materials:

When unloading materials, appropriate unloading equipment and methods should be selected based on the specifications of the container bag and the nature of the materials contained.
Attention should be paid to controlling the unloading speed and flow rate to prevent materials from flowing out of the container bag too quickly or excessively, resulting in material waste or environmental pollution.

  • Cleaning and maintenance:

After using the container bag, it is necessary to clean and maintain the container bag in time to extend its service life.
When cleaning, you can use clean water or appropriate cleaning agents to remove stains and residual materials on the surface of the container bag.
During maintenance, the container bags should be stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse to avoid direct sunlight and a humid environment.

  • Things to note:

Do not overload container bags to avoid safety accidents.
Avoid using sharp or hard objects to scratch the surface of the container bag.
Before and during use, the relevant safety operating procedures and precautions must be strictly followed.

By following the above usage methods and precautions, you can ensure the safe and effective use of container bags, extend their service life, and reduce unnecessary waste and losses.
